Craig Davison: There was a fledgling independent magazine being started by the name of "019890" that had a benefit show at a place called The Spectrum in Buffalo, NY on April 9, 1979. Among the bands on the roster was my friend's band THE SCOOTERS and a band refered to as simply MORE. The latter band was comprised of: Vince Gallo on bass, Time Blake (late of THE SECRETS) on guitar and George Scherer (of THE GEORGE) on drums. They played a set of originals and covers.

The show was hosted by WBFO disc jockey Gary Storm.To me, MORE was "Tim Blake's Band." In fact, that's what I wrote on the cassette, next to the "MORE" designation! Who knew from Vince Gallo - certainly not me! Tim was the guitarist in THE SECRETS, my friend Bill's band. The drummer was George Scherer (sp?) who was the in THE GEORGE, a great, forgotten band that morphed into THE PAPER FACES. All meaningless names to anyone but a select handful of Buffalo scenesters, I'm sure.
